As I mentioned in the General catagory I'm new here. I have a 1992 Thunderbird LX 3.8. I've actually had this car since June of 1998 but I've only driven it a few hundred miles. It was the wife's car. It got pretty used over the years so I insisted that she get a newer car so now this one is mine.
Last week I completely replaced the front suspension. The car was handling like you'd imagine a whale. Heavy, wallowing, diving along with the car thinking that moving the steering wheel was a meer suggestion rather than an order. Now it's back to it's old self.
I also purchased a new fuel pump/sending unit as the tank likes for me to think it's full until is actually only has four gallons left. Hit a bump just right and the gage goes from full to 1/4 in an instant. We've learned that the correct was is to never fill the tank otherwise it sticks. It also leaks only when completely full. Drive 50 miles and the leak goes away so It's time to install the new one.
Also is the exciting prospect of attempting to remove the very old tinting on the rear window without damaging the defroster grid. This will be fun I assure you. So far only steam has any effect.
So, that's my story on the 92LX

Have you gotten around to any of the control arms on the front?
